Mountain Top Breakfast is
Thursday, November 20. Our students
are very excited to be able to share why |
Reminders |
As the weather gets cooler, please
remember to send a jacket/coat that is appropriate for our recess time at
noon. |
Math |
Check with your child each
night to see if there is homework. |
Literacy |
Check your child’s binder each day
with him/her to see if there is homework. Look for “books” that we have
made in class. These books are an
excellent way for your child to build his/her confidence in his/her reading
skills. We will be categorizing word
families this week through multi-sensory activities. We are becoming stronger readers each day! |
Science |
We will begin a new unit this
week – it will be the study of rocks
and minerals. We will continue to work on the properties
of rocks: size, color, luster,
hardness, and texture. We will be
doing activities this week to help reinforce these concepts. |

Social Studies |
We will be focusing on the Pilgrims this week. We will be learning what it meant to “build
a new nation” and create a colony
and become a colonist. We will also be reading and learning about
what it was like to be a pilgrim child
(what was daily life like for them?) |
